I began making black cake, the iconic Caribbean rum cake rich with tradition and history, and fish cakes, a beloved Bajan favorite with a flavor that instantly brings people home. What started as a personal connection quickly became a passion. I realized there was a need—a longing—for our culture to be celebrated, shared, and brought to life through food.
Every time I prepared black cake, folding in fruits that had soaked for months, or mixed the perfect fish cake batter seasoned just right, I felt more connected to my roots. I wasn’t just following recipes; I was honoring generations before me. I was telling the story of my island, my family, and myself.... That realization changed everything.

Through my food, I hope to share the warmth, rhythm, and soul of Barbados with everyone who tastes it.
