I began making black cake, the iconic Caribbean rum cake rich with tradition and history, and fish cakes, a beloved Bajan favorite with a flavor that instantly brings people home. What started as a personal connection quickly became a passion. I realized there was a need—a longing—for our culture to be celebrated, shared, and brought to life through food.
What began in a kitchen on an ordinary day—one birthday cake and a mother’s love—has grown into my purpose. I am a chef, a baker, and a storyteller of flavor. And with every black cake I soak, every fish cake I fry, and every new creation I dream up, I continue to bring my culture to life, one delicious bite at a time.
